Now more than ever, trustees need clarity on how to support the strategic direction of their institutions. While board members bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields, it is often challenging for them to contribute meaningfully without a background in higher-education planning and processes. To help navigate the current tumultuous landscape, The Chronicle of Higher Education and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) are partnering to offer forums for board members to advance their strategic- thinking capabilities and ensure the long-term success of their institutions.

This webinar will discuss key questions for board members at private colleges and universities, including:

  • How can private higher education institutions ensure financial stability in the face of rising costs and declining enrollment?

  • How can they maintain affordable tuition while providing high-quality education?

  • How can private colleges recruit and enroll students in the face of declining high school graduate populations?

This webinar is part of a series dedicated to modern strategy in higher education jointly offered by The Chronicle of Higher Education and AGB. There will be a subsequent webinar about public university strategies leading up to our joint trusteeship training, The Strategy Symposium, May 29-31 in beautiful Puerto Rico – limited spots available, more information here.
