Depending on who you ask, institutional assessments typically fall into one of the two above categories. To try bringing some clarity to this topic, we surveyed 871 faculty and admins that work at two-and-four-year institutions.

Administrators find assessments valuable, while faculty see the process as more of a headache. Is there truth to this? Or, is this simply a case of miscommunication and not seeing the bigger picture?
