The nation’s research enterprise, along with the careers of scientists and researchers, has been upended by the pandemic. Field work was cancelled, research projects placed on indefinite pause, and scholarly production, particularly among female researchers, dropped significantly. What lies along the road ahead?

To find out, The Chronicle will be asking a panel of experts to take a look into the future and examine the challenges researchers may confront in the years ahead, as a result of these tumultuous past 18 months.

Join us as we ask and answer:
  • After almost two years of the pandemic, what does the future hold for the research enterprise?
  • How are disciplines and research agendas being reshaped?
  • How is collaboration and scholarly communication changing?
