Universities across the nation are exploring ways to incorporate residence life into their student-success strategies. The University of Denver has built a residential village based on research about how people socialize and learn from one another, while institutions in other cities are introducing living-learning communities or residential-living communities centered around shared student interests.
All of these housing plans serve a similar purpose: bolster retention and academic success by advancing the quality of residential life.
